Christmas Gift Project

The Christmas Gift Project comprises two exploration licences (EL 9615 and EL 9683) covering approximately 22 km² in the southern Lachlan Fold Belt, a region renowned for hosting multiple orogenic gold deposits. The project lies 15 km east of Cootamundra and 180 km northwest of Canberra, with access via established regional infrastructure and sealed roads.

Geology & Mineralisation

The project sits on the faulted contact between the Middle Ordovician Jindalee Group basalts and the Silurian Blowering Formation, with mineralisation hosted within a north–northeast striking 200 m wide shear zone. Gold occurs as low-sulphide quartz veins within silicified tuffaceous sediments, containing pyrite and minor sphalerite, galena, and chalcopyrite.
This orogenic-style system bears strong geological similarities to the Tomingley and Adelong gold deposits located along strike.

Historical Work

Underground mining between 1900 and 1941 produced approximately 30,000 oz of gold at an average grade of 18 g/t Au, over a 225 m strike length and 110 m depth. Historic drilling has outlined a broader mineralised envelope, with key intersections including:
• 13.0 m @ 13.20 g/t Au from 68 m (DDH076)
• 8.0 m @ 17.23 g/t Au from 12 m (FRB012)
• 9.0 m @ 11.54 g/t Au from 46 m (DDHC007)
• 13.0 m @ 6.60 g/t Au from 30 m (PDH22)

Exploration Potential

A recent soil survey defined a 1,000 m gold-in-soil anomaly extending north into EL 9683 and open along strike, suggesting continuity of the mineralised system. Upcoming work will focus on extending soil grids, drill testing down-plunge extensions, and defining a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.
